Hi! I fell upon your name while reading the posts in that thread that asks guys
to reveal their real name. Saw the name Jenia and realized that you're probably
Russian. Well, I was right!
I was born in Russia (in Ramenskoye, close to Moscow), and lived there 'till age
of 8. Then we moved here, to Canada. Though I can speak, read, and write Russian
perfectly because we keep it up in out family (okay, maybe I'm not getting
enough practice in writing, but I'm still pretty good, considering that I don't
write it often... but I read a lot). So I could write to you in Russian, but I
find that way of using latin leters for it kind of creepy... Priviet, kak diela,
etc. It's just killing me. Honestly. I would rather use cyrillic, but I don't
think you can encode it.
But I just learned a surprising thing: you can actually literally translate
"wallpaper" as "oboi"?? I was always wondering how you would
say that in Russian, but I never expected that... I mean, duh, I know what
"oboi" are, but using it for "wallpaper" in the sense of
desktop background? Well, I guess, when you think of it, wallpaper mean exactly
that... * laugh*
Well, I won't bother you any longer. Just passed by to say hello because your
